    What is Witchcraft?

    When you mention witchcraft, many people summon images of devils, demons, infant and animal sacrifice, and broom rides to mind. However, these stereotypes of the historical remnants of prejudice against many groups of non-Christian spiritual groups.

    Witchcraft today is a spiritual practice and craft where practitioners seek to discover and use their own psychic abilities to connect with the earth, divinity, their ancestors, and the universe itself. Witchcraft consists of many laws handed down through the hermetic principles over the years, but one major law encompasses the whole of the practice: “An it harm none, do what ye will.” First and foremost, witches always seek to work toward the highest good of themselves and others, knowing that karma will return your energies back to you in the end.

    Witches utilize natural items–such as crystals, herbs, and oils–to help them to project their energy into the universe to create change in the world around them. We call this using majick, or casting a spell. Connecting deeply with the earth and our ancestors is a vital practice for most witches.
